U Tobogánu Cottages

The cottages are near the main Vranov beach, literally overlooking the water slide - hence the name of the cottage area – they are only about 50 metres from the beach too.

This place is ideal for both residential family recreation and for those seeking an active holiday as there is a lot of good walking in the beautiful surroundings of Vranov dam, which can take you to the nearby Vranov chateau. The cottages are suitable for family holidays, school trips, fishermen and, not least, as a meeting place for friends, and various corporate and private events.

The cottages are located directly in the Vranov beach campsite. The entire camp area offers plenty of leisure activities. There is a total of 14 cottages – 4-bed and 2-bed. A fee-payable car park is situated near the cottage area.

You can enjoy your holidays by playing board games or doing all sorts of sports. At reception, you can borrow sports equipment (table tennis, volley ball and football + goal, Russian Skittles) and board games. You can purchase daily newspapers, magazines, postcards and souvenirs here. Cottages have their own outdoor campfire place with skittles and seating in front of it.

It is very convenient for the lake as the water is just 100 metres away. The water here remains completely clean and free of cyanobacteria throughout the season (see Hygiene station measurings). The beach is both grassy and sandy and perfectly maintained. On the beach, of course, you can find other leisure facilities - such as boat and paddle boat rental, waterslide, volleyball courts and football pitches for free, and also a children´s playground. In the nearby Military convalescence Centre you can use a sauna or whirlpool, have a massage, play squash, tennis or minigolf.

If you are already tired from all the sports and swimming, or simply want to have something tasty to eat on the beach, you can visit a number of pleasant pubs where there is live music in the evening. There are also bistros, restaurants, sweet shops, grocery stores, stands with fresh vegetables, fruit, and bread, a chemist’s, newspapers and magazines stands, cigarettes, etc. For more pleasure, a sightseeing tourist train will take you from the cottages to Vranov, for example to Vranov nad Dyjí chateau. There are boat trips which provide scheduled tours to Bítov castle and private boat cruises. Various cultural events are held on the beach at weekends, such as films at the open-air cinema, the Champagne Dip competition, dragon boat races, Vranov Volleyball Summer, etc.
